Rusty Stewart, Ph.D., earned his doctorate in Psychoeducational Processes at Temple University. He is a proficient and skilled Reiki Master, Transformational Breath Facilitator, Certified Hypnotherapist, and Certified Shapeshifting Practitioner. He has a private practice in Integrated Energy Balancing Healing Psychotherapy Including Heat Centered Hypnotherapy, Shapeshifting Consciousness, Body Centered Psychotherapy, and Aromatherapy. Rusty presents workshops throughout the tri-state area including Holistic Integrative Breathing, BreathJourneying, Break on Through to the Other Side: Walking the Talk, and The Source of World Peace and Joy! He created a new alternative DUI curriculum for Bucks County Council for Alcoholism. In addition, Rusty was an Adjunct Professor for Temple University in the Department for Psychological Studies in Education teaching Group Dynamics, Learning Theory, and Intimacy & Control, and currently teaches psychology at the Thomas Jefferson University.

Friends, Brothers, and Sisters,

Welcome to my new newsletter format. It has been long in the making. Thank you for your patience! Please feel free to offer suggestions, as this is an evolving process. Please check out the Manifesting Community icon, and click to see a file of all the upcoming community events for the next 60 days. Anyone can add a community event, workshop, or class to this list for free provided you email it to me by the 20th of each month in Times New Roman 12 pt. Font (no bold or underlining please). I will cut, paste, and sort the list by date of event. This will be updated every month.

There will be a featured article every month that will be different than my articles in the Yoga Living or Wisdom magazines. The one exception will be in next month's newsletter when my article will be the same as the one in Yoga Living magazine. The title is "Manifesting Whole Community." Some of the articles may be the same as articles I submit to Inner Realm magazine in Central NJ. You are welcome to offer me feedback on any of my articles.

The table of contents will take you wherever you want to go in my newsletter or directly to my website. Please take special notice of the free lectures and support groups that I offer. And, as always, if you like the work I do please pass it along to people you care about. I am grateful for any referrals that come my way. I am accepting new clients for integrated psychotherapy in both of my locations and encourage people to deepen their process through the workshops that I offer.

As springtime arrives, think about clearing out any clutter in your life and starting off anew. This applies to material possessions, emotional attachments, obsessive thoughts, unresolved relationships, etc. Everything is energy. The more energy that's cluttering up our lives, the harder it is to manifest the things we want in our lives. The universe offers us energy as co-creators. When our lives are overwhelming with "stuff" we are essentially saying no to the universal energy. It's like saying, no thank you Creator, I can handle it all myself. As human beings with freedom of will, we get to choose whether we want assistance or not. Let go and let God. The freedom will bring you more than you ever imagined!

Everyday Magic and Miracles

I thought this a good topic since it is the theme of my upcoming book. At least this is the title as it now stands. Everything is subject to change, EVERYTHING! In fact change and chaos is the natural state of the universe. Funny how most people want to fight the natural power and flow of the universe. Is it any wonder many of us are stressed out and tired? Look at what we are trying to do. It makes a hell of a lot of better sense to go with the flow. Learn to live within the organic energy flow instead of blocking and resisting it. Ever heard the saying, what we resist persists? This can be a great learning metaphor for accepting all that comes our way as lessons in growth. Whether we ignore the lesson (resist, reinforce the status quo) or embrace the lesson (accept, and change) determines what we manifest in our lives. We are the Gods of our own creations!

I think it was Gary Zukov in Seat of the Soul who said, "if you want to know what your belief systems are look around you at your life. If you want to change what is around you in your life you have to change your beliefs." Thought creates reality, or thought creates form. But the tricky part is changing our belief systems. It's not as easy as it sounds. Many things can get triggered as we attempt to change our beliefs. First of all, with change there must be disequilibrium, chaos, and confusion. Why? Because disequilibrium and chaos are a natural part of the change cycle in the universe. And confusion results from the transition period while we are engaging in new thoughts, behaviors, and actions. We are doing things differently and it will most likely be uncomfortable for a period of time.

Secondly, we have all our past garbage to process and release. These past thoughts, beliefs, and ways of doing things do not die easily when they are in our cellular memories and unconscious minds. The paradox is, if we start to trust the flow of life and the higher power energy of the universe, this transition can be much easier. We can't do it all ourselves. In fact, as a therapist, I've learned that people who don't have a connection to either their higher power or spirituality are the most stuck in the status quo. They fight any change even if it can bring them more peace and joy. We need to connect to our higher selves and turn our will or our desire for specific outcomes over to this greater energy force. This is where everyday magic and miracles comes in. It's the little things that count, one day at a time, one moment at a time.
