Rusty Stewart, Ph.D., earned his doctorate in Psychoeducational Processes at Temple University. He is a proficient and skilled Reiki Master, Transformational Breath Facilitator, Certified Hypnotherapist, and Certified Shapeshifting Practitioner. He has a private practice in Integrated Energy Balancing Healing Psychotherapy Including Heat Centered Hypnotherapy, Shapeshifting Consciousness, Body Centered Psychotherapy, and Aromatherapy. Rusty presents workshops throughout the tri-state area including Holistic Integrative Breathing, BreathJourneying, Break on Through to the Other Side: Walking the Talk, and The Source of World Peace and Joy! He created a new alternative DUI curriculum for Bucks County Council for Alcoholism. In addition, Rusty was an Adjunct Professor for Temple University in the Department for Psychological Studies in Education teaching Group Dynamics, Learning Theory, and Intimacy & Control, and currently teaches psychology at the Thomas Jefferson University and social psychology at the University Of The Sciences.

Friends, Brothers, and Sisters,

Welcome to my new newsletter format. It has been long in the making. Thank you for your patience! Feel free to offer suggestions, as this is an evolving process. Please check out the Manifesting Community icon and click to see a file of all the upcoming community events for the next 60 days. Anyone can submit community events, workshops, or classes to post on this list for free provided you email it to me by the 20th of each month in Times New Roman 12 pt. font (no bold or underlining please). I will cut, paste, and sort the list by date of event. This will be updated every month.

There will be a featured article every month that will be different than my articles in the Yoga Living or Wisdom magazines. Some of the articles may be the same as articles I submit to Inner Realm magazine in NY & NJ. You are welcome to offer me feedback on any of my articles. All of my articles can be accessed on my achieved article list on my website.

The table of contents will take you wherever you want to go in my newsletter or directly to my website. Please take special notice of the free lectures and support groups that I offer. And, as always, if you like the work I do please pass it along to people you care about. I am grateful for any referrals that come my way. I am accepting new clients for integrated psychotherapy in both of my locations and encourage people to deepen their process through the workshops that I offer.

Professional Message

Take time to slow down. Feel what it is like to take your time and sit in the space of no action. Allow yourself to experience this. Notice what comes up for you. Be mindful of your body and what it communicates to you. Notice what thoughts come up, what the inner dialogue is. Just be the observer without judgment.

Now journal about your experience. Notice if it was easy or difficult. If it was difficult then ask yourself if you are more of a human doing than a human being? If it was easy for you, or you want to experience what it is like to be a human being, then do more slowing down or nothing and enjoy being present to the wonders of life in the now! It truly is peaceful once you let go.

Connection To Community

I've been concentrating on manifesting community for months now. I feel it is important to connect with people in our communities. It is only by connecting with each other that true intimacy can be achieved. And with authentic intimacy healing occurs in relationship with one another. Many times this interaction can be uncomfortable, especially when our buttons are being pushed from our own past and trauma. Having the awareness to see the mirroring that can take place between our bothers and sisters can help us not to react in familiar unproductive and projective ways. By being mindful and the observer we can choose to experience our own part in the play.

If we isolate we remain separate. This only accentuates and perpetuates fear. It cannot promote safety and healing! We must not create a false bubble of security both in our communities and in the world! This only leads to more misunderstanding and misperceptions. For many of us we only need to look to our closest relationships to see the assumptions and illusions we struggle with between one another. I'm not suggesting this is easy. It's not! But connecting and communicating on a deeper level is the only way to freedom and peace.

My own experience many times is one of anxiety and fear when I put myself out there in new and unfamiliar community events. However, I realize the necessity of connecting in order to heal myself and the world. I want you to know that this is not easy for me either. I've just done it more often and as a result, I've experienced the benefits of growth. Interrupt your own patterns and embrace the uncomfortable as a sign of change.

So this summer get out and enjoy yourself in the community. Take a risk! Let go and trust your higher self. I encourage you to read about the community events on my Manifesting Community Listings. I encourage you to investigate the resources available to you (Yoga Living, New Visions, Creating Community, Wisdom, Progressive Health, etc.). Try something new. Visit the open house I have put together in the above description and meet people at the Chakra Shop on August 1. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!!
