Rusty Stewart, Ph.D., earned his doctorate in Psychoeducational Processes at Temple University. He is a proficient and skilled Reiki Master, Transformational Breath Facilitator, Certified Hypnotherapist, and Certified Shapeshifting Practitioner. He has a private practice in Integrated Energy Balancing Healing Psychotherapy Including Heat Centered Hypnotherapy, Shapeshifting Consciousness, Body Centered Psychotherapy, and Aromatherapy. Rusty presents workshops throughout the tri-state area including Holistic Integrative Breathing, BreathJourneying, Break on Through to the Other Side: Walking the Talk, and The Source of World Peace and Joy! He created a new alternative DUI curriculum for Bucks County Council for Alcoholism. In addition, Rusty was an Adjunct Professor for Temple University in the Department for Psychological Studies in Education teaching Group Dynamics, Learning Theory, and Intimacy & Control, and currently teaches psychology at the Thomas Jefferson University and social psychology at the University Of The Sciences.

Friends, Brothers, and Sisters,
Welcome to my new newsletter format. It has been long in the making. Thank you for your patience! Feel free to offer suggestions, as this is an evolving process. Please check out the Manifesting Community icon and click to see a file of all the upcoming community events for the next 60 days. Anyone can submit community events, workshops, or classes to post on this list for free provided you email it to me by the 20th of each month in Times New Roman 12 pt. font (no bold or underlining please). I will cut, paste, and sort the list by date of event. This will be updated every month.
There will be a featured article every month that will be different than my articles in the Yoga Living or Wisdom magazines. Some of the articles may be the same as articles I submit to Inner Realm magazine in NY & NJ. You are welcome to offer me feedback on any of my articles. All of my articles can be accessed on my achieved article list on my website.
The table of contents will take you wherever you want to go in my newsletter or directly to my website. Please take special notice of the free lectures and support groups that I offer. And, as always, if you like the work I do please pass it along to people you care about. I am grateful for any referrals that come my way. Professional Message
As the end of the summer draws near, I am reminded of how much I take for granted. As a result, I am committing to be more in the present moment and express gratitude for what I do have. Sometimes it takes a two by four on the side of the head to wake up. This metaphorical piece of lumber may come in the form of illness (physical or mental), tragedy, trauma, accident, or spiritual emergency. I have had experiences in the last month that have humbled me and allowed deeper lessons to finally be learned. The hard part is the guilt, shame, fear, and loneliness that often accompany this process.
It is in my total nakedness and vulnerability that healing occurs. Otherwise only partial healing takes place. This is not wholeness. As I let go and trust the universe, I can allow the people I love in my life the deepest space of intimacy. My ego says no, my intuitive Higher Self says yes! Take time to tell people in your life that you love them. But do it from the heart. Do it from a place of vulnerability. Do it from a place of risk. Do it from a place of uncomfortableness. Let them know who you are. Open up to who they are. We all have similar issues regarding fear, guilt, shame, and loneliness. When we can embrace these emotions with one another in the presence of love, all of us move closer to wholeness. And with that comes joy!

THE HEALING POWER OF REIKI STEMS FROM ALLOWING AND LETTING GO!
Reiki was originally channeled to Dr. Mikao Usui in the 19th century as he was following directions for 21 days from the Indian sutras, written in Sanskrit scriptures. On the 21st day a beam of light struck him in the forehead and he saw beautiful bubbles of light filled with colorful symbols. As he contemplated each symbol he received an attunement, (access to certain healing energies), for that symbol and the knowledge of its use. It was here that this ancient healing art was reborn.
As a modality, Reiki is a gentle form of "hands on" energy enrichment that anyone can learn to use. As a channeled energy, it does not draw from your own energy, but instead the universal energy is channeled through you. Thus you are a conduit for the universal energy. It took me a while to get this concept when I became certified in all three levels and Mastership of Usui Reiki seven years ago.
For me one of the biggest lessons of both practicing and teaching Reiki has been the aspect of allowing and letting go. Allowing is not trying to do anything with the energy. I turn it on and allow it to do its thing. Sometimes this is hard because my ego wants to control or make it "better", or more "powerful." As if my ego could ever make anything better or more powerful than the universal energy force! Ridiculous! Insane! Let Go! The Reiki masters and the universe are doing the healing in conjunction with my client. I'm just the intermediary. It's my job to get out of the way. When I do that amazing things happen with Reiki.
This allowing also applies to the client. What I mean is that they have to chose or allow themselves to heal. Sometimes on an unconscious level people do not want to heal on the physical plane. As long as their intent is to heal on a conscious level, and they are allowing the Reiki energy in, they are healing. How they are healing may not be apparent to me, or to them. They may be healing emotionally, mentally, physically, or spiritually. They may be preparing to transition as their lessons are learned in this sojourn. Once again, the ego wants to see something tangible that fits the western definition of healing.
One thing I am certain of. When I connect with loving intent and get out of the way, Reiki has done wonders for people. When people choose to heal anything can happen. I've also been blessed with wonderful students who have had spiritual intuitive experiences that nobody could have expected. And that's just it. Nobody expected it! So experience Reiki for yourself and open your heart to the healing energy of the universe. You too can choose to heal. I thank God that I finally did!
