Organizations and individuals with similar visions of community cooperation will be invited to submit their websites, purpose, vision, and mission to me for dialogue and feedback. My mission, vision, and purpose have been updated to reflect this link service. The main premise is non-competition and cooperation. This paradigm of promoting everyone is essential to be part of this network. Abundance rules, scarcity fools!

To extend Love through the holistic paradigm of mind, body, and spirit. We continuously and endlessly concentrate and focus on healing the whole person, whole organization, whole community, and whole world, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We partner with other centers and organizations in creating a new paradigm web of non-competition and promotion of everyone! We practice, model, and teach this successful abundant financial transformative paradigm with all individuals, cultures, businesses, and organizations worldwide.
We model and promote abundance, prosperity, gratitude, cooperation, peace, collaboration, consensus, inclusion, empowered humility, diversity, social justice, equality, holistic integration, joy, and having fun! We model environmental sustainability through our green building and environmentally conscious decisions. The for-profit part of our center is a cooperative economic partnership with a horizontal organizational structure. The non-profit part of our center provides opportunities for grant funding and other services to offer and extend into the community and financially challenged populations. We are moving forward with more structure and energy. This is for practitioners or anybody else interested in potentially becoming a part of Personal Growth Alternatives: A Holistic Educational, Spiritual, And Healing Community Center to be located somewhere in the Philadelphia area in 2008. As I have shared in many newsletters, I am looking for committed healers who share in my vision. My intention is to find a core group of people (3-5), to create and manifest the beginnings of a holistic educational, spiritual, healing community center in the Philadelphia area. Presently, that area is pretty broad. But from an environmental viewpoint it must be located at or near public transportation and not require people to drive a long distance. As more people share their ideas and intentions with me, it will become clearer where to look for space. Much of this year will be fact-finding and mindstorming, with the intent of moving into a space later in 2008. I am welcoming all interested people and practitioners for an open dialogue until a core group organically manifests itself. Commitment of vision, mission, and purpose is of paramount importance. We are not just sharing space and I am not just a landlord renting space out. So this is an intimate process of getting to know one another.
This is a community-oriented project. The core group should be able to work together in healing and educating clients through emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and energetic approaches. We will truly focus on mind, body, and spirit. More specifically I am looking for holistic practitioners in the following categories: chiropractors, psychologists, psychiatrists, naturopaths, psychotherapists, nutritionalists, energy workers, acupuncturists, coaches, addiction counselors, attorneys, CPA's/financial advisors, grant writers, fund raisers, philanthropists, etc. This is by no means an exhaustive list. All are welcome for consideration.
I am currently thinking of the center being a combination of profit and non-profit. I don't specifically know what that would look like yet but given our state of economic complexities, having both entities may be the most flexible way to go especially if the non-profit sector happens to be partially or fully grant funded. All options are being left open until more clarity of possibilities are explored. If any of you have experience in the non-profit/profit arena your input would be greatly appreciated.
Please feel free to email me or call me (office) 215-658-1093, or (cell) 609-332-4663 to participate in an open dialogue and mindstorming. You do not need to be a practitioner to participate in this process. I need to hear from as many people as possible. All voices are important! If I do not get back to you quickly please know that your response is important and that I am frequently out of town and busy trying to answer all my emails and phone calls.
Below are some basic guidelines for the Vision, Purpose, and Mission, and Values Statements:
Developing a Mission Statement
1. At is most basic, the mission statement describes the overall purpose of the organization.
2. If the organization elects to develop a vision statement before developing the mission statement, ask “Why does the image, the vision exist -- what is it's purpose?” This purpose is often the same as the mission.
3. Developing a mission statement can be quick culture-specific, i.e., participants may use methods ranging from highly analytical and rational to highly creative and divergent, e.g., focused discussions, divergent experiences around daydreams, sharing stories, etc. Therefore, visit with the participants how they might like to arrive at description of their organizational mission.
4. When wording the mission statement, consider the organization's products, services, markets, values, and concern for public image, and maybe priorities of activities for survival.
5. Consider any changes that may be needed in wording of the mission statement because of any new suggested strategies during a recent strategic planning process.
6. Ensure that wording of the mission is to the extent that management and employees can infer some order of priorities in how products and services are delivered.
7. When refining the mission, a useful exercise is to add or delete a word from the mission to realize the change in scope of the mission statement and assess how concise is its wording.
8. Does the mission statement include sufficient description that the statement clearly separates the mission of the organization from other organizations?
Developing a Vision Statement
1. The vision statement includes vivid description of the organization as it effectively carries out its operations.
2. Developing a vision statement can be quick culture-specific, i.e., participants may use methods ranging from highly analytical and rational to highly creative and divergent, e.g., focused discussions, divergent experiences around daydreams, sharing stories, etc. Therefore, visit with the participants how they might like to arrive at description of their organizational vision.
3. Developing the vision can be the most enjoyable part of planning, but the part where time easily gets away from you.
4. Note that originally, the vision was a compelling description of the state and function of the organization once it had implemented the strategic plan, i.e., a very attractive image toward which the organization was attracted and guided by the strategic plan. Recently, the vision has become more of a motivational tool, too often including highly idealistic phrasing and activities which the organization cannot realistically aspire.
Developing a Values Statement
1. Values represent the core priorities in the organization's culture, including what drives members' priorities and how they truly act in the organization, etc. Values are increasingly important in strategic planning. They often drive the intent and direction for “organic” planners.
2. Developing a values statement can be quick culture-specific, i.e., participants may use methods ranging from highly analytical and rational to highly creative and divergent, e.g., focused discussions, divergent experiences around daydreams, sharing stories, etc. Therefore, visit with the participants how they might like to arrive at description of their organizational values.
3. Establish four to six core values from which the organization would like to operate. Consider values of customers, shareholders, employees and the community.
4. Notice any differences between the organization's preferred values and its true values (the values actually reflected by members' behaviors in the organization). Record each preferred value on a flash card, then have each member “rank” the values with 1, 2, or 3 in terms of the priority needed by the organization with 3 indicating the value is very important to the organization and 1 is least important. Then go through the cards again to rank how people think the values are actually being enacted in the organization with 3 indicating the values are fully enacted and 1 indicating the value is hardly reflected at all. Then address discrepancies where a value is highly preferred (ranked with a 3), but hardly enacted (ranked with a 1).
5. Incorporate into the strategic plan, actions to align actual behavior with preferred behaviors.

Professional Message
This month's message is about the pain and grieving that takes place as we watch our parents become elderly. Somewhere along this path, there is a transition that needs to take place with their living arrangements as their health and mobility start to deteriorate. Many times this is fraught with resistance as the letting go process is so difficult. After all, many times this is their final chapter and a close look into their own mortality in human form. I am presently experiencing this with my parents. My father (81) is ready to either go to my sister's in Virginia where she will build a new house for them that is completely handicap accessible, or a senior living complex with assisted living available. My mother (80), on the other hand, is resisting and does not want to lose her independence. Unfortunately, she can no longer take care of my father herself and continue driving and shopping like she has in the past. And I cannot be there when she wants me and still run my business, make a living, date, and be involved in the community like I am.
It is painful watching my parents go through this. Ultimately, they can do whatever they want. However, I am fearful of the consequences as things are already starting to happen that point to them not being able to stay in their house. I have decided to move out as I can no longer help them and have my own life and livelihood. I have helped them for many years and it is now time for me to blossom into my own independent life and move on. It is time to make big decisions. I have made mine. I can help them transition if they choose to. If not, they may be forced to make more unpleasant decisions in the not too distant future and perhaps, without the better choices available to them. We either live life or life lives us. It does not matter whether we are 25 or 85. Life is an equal opportunity victimizer if you choose not to take action differently. The grieving is painful. It triggers my own mortality as some day I will be facing similar decisions. I encourage all of you to work out some type of plan with your parents so they are making their own decisions as to how and where they want to spend the final years of their lives. Hopefully then, this transition can be as smooth and painless as possible.

What Do You Want In Your Life, Love Or Fear? CHOOSE!! It's That Simple!
I'm choosing Love. What are you choosing? It's taken me many long years of lessons to get this very simple yet elusive principle. “The Way Of Mastery” has helped me immensely (www.shantichristo.com) in choosing Love. I choose Self Love! I choose to live as Christ Shiva Das! My life depends upon it! I choose not to dim my light anymore. I choose instead to manifest the good the holy and the beautiful! Screw the small stuff! The small stuff is small, insignificant, and meaningless. The big stuff is what is real! And the big stuff is what Love is.
I have been constricted in the small stuff in the past. Fear is constriction. Lack is fear. Doubt and fear of the unknown is a blockage to Love. Limitation is living the small stuff. Now I know what to do, what is imperative, I must move out of my parent's house and open up and expand into the unknown and the unlimited. I had many lessons to learn along the way. I helped them out. I have emoted and figured out my shit. Now I am on the journey to healing, forgiveness, and Love. The blockages in my life have become all too clear. I needed to experience this for myself. Nobody could help me or tell me different. Jeshua Ben Joseph is Loving me during my transition. He is both my teacher and Comforter. I choose to take my life back. Nobody and no circumstances outside of myself will do it for me. I am responsible for everything! I choose to create a different experience for myself!
Looking back I can't believe it's that simple! Choose again! What do I want in my life, Love or fear? I have grown up in a family that teaches fear, lack, negativity, attachment, and pessimism. It has been through my experience of living this lack of light that I have been drawn to the light. Many things have shifted for me in the last month. By the way, I've felt like total shit! But I've been aware and awake this time in the shit and you know what? It really smells this time. I'm the observer of my own process, a similar process that brought me to my joyful recovery from alcohol and drugs almost 17 years ago. If that's a marker in my current process let's start the celebration party because the bottom has never felt so horrible yet so hopeful and joyful. Paradoxically, a comforting sign that I am tapping into truth and healing. I am ready!
So here is my intent as I choose Love over fear and unlimitedness over limitation. I will have a conversation with my parents this week in the morning when my Dad is at his best. I will come from a place of Love when I tell them of my decisions. I will ask for their support. However, I will not expect anything. I will turn it over to the Comforter or Holy Spirit. Thy will not mine be done. I am taken care of. I am free and independent. I experience Self-Love. I am now free to extend Love to others. I am removing the blockages to peace. I am breaking Karma with my family. I am actively practicing forgiveness by pulling myself out of the family dynamic and drama. Now I model and live true healing. I am Christ Shiva Das! Let's celebrate the experience of Love over fear!
